I really cannot understand how some animals become our ‘best friend’ whilst others are treated like garbage. No human has the right to say an animals life should be over. Society is fine with slaughtering countless chickens, cows and pigs daily and few people mind, but if i was to slaughter my pet dog in a similar fashion i would be ridiculed and most likely prosecuted. Even the concept that there is social acceptance for killing only particular animals makes me feel disgusted.
